In our series "Spotlight on Women Architects", we regularly present the work of female architects – like that of Jeanne Gang who has followed her path without fail. A skyscraper that earned her the record for the ‘tallest building designed by a woman’ certainly helped her in this endeavour. More important, however, was the stylistic breadth and self-confidence in her designs as well as her enjoyment of innovative constructions.

The young designer Kateryna Basiuk works on new and sustainable textiles in Lucerne. For her ‘Silent Canvas’ project, she investigated the sound-absorbing structure of insects and transferred it to knitwear. A conversation about virtual textiles, local natural materials and what moth wings have to do with fibres.

At the upcoming ISH from 17 to 21 March 2025, the premium brand Laufen will provide a diverse insight into its strong commitment to a more sustainable bathroom industry. They will also be defining their holistic approach with smart complete solutions.
